April 22, 1985 - May 02, 2024
Click here to view Landon's service via livestream - 9;50 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024.
Landon was born in Savannah, GA on April 22, 1985, and tragically left us on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Landon lived life his way with a big heart and an infectious smile that would light up a room. A lover of good music, UGA football, bodybuilding, real people and family. The light of the world will truly be dimmer with him gone.
Landon was a Petty Officer First Class in the U.S. Navy where he served as an Air Traffic Controller, at Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL. Landon was honored to be selected as Junior Sailor of the Quarter Air Ops by his Command. He was an On-the-Job Training Instructor to new recruits. Landon was a proud veteran and a true patriot of this great country.
Landon’s charming demeanor was contagious, and our family will miss him dearly. He leaves behind two children, Layne Holcomb of Clayton, GA and Kennadie Mangelsdorf of Savannah; mother, Missy Jarrott of Savannah; father, Randy Holcomb of Clarkesville, GA; brother, Rory Holcomb of Granby, CO; his girlfriend, Madolyn McGuire of Hilton Head Island, SC; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and one niece. Landon is also survived by a very special uncle, Howard Jarrott of Savannah, who impacted his life spiritually in so many ways.
“May the pain we run from let us fall into the peace we are looking for…” Rory
Graveside service with U.S. Naval Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024 in Beaufort National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that you consider a donation in Landon’s memory to honor Veterans who struggle with mental health at Fight the War Within Foundation fightthewarwithin.org.

I had the privilege of meeting Landon one time 4 years ago. The conversation made it seem like we were long lost friends catching up. We bonded over the fact that we both graduated from the same high school. I pray that God holds his loved ones close and give them comfort in their time of grief. Rest in peace my fellow patriot..

Missy, You and your family are in my thoughts. You are one of the most courageous and giving people I have had the privilege to have in my life. You manage to stay positive and find gratitude even when the situation is far from that. You have been a role model for me and have helped me recognize how much I have in my life. I want to offer my support and love. Much love, little C.
